Midwest Association of Language Learning Technology
MWALLT 2023 Virtual Conference
Saturday, February 11, 2023
Registration is now open!
The Midwest Association for Language Learning Technology (MWALLT) announces its 2023 virtual conference to be held on Saturday, February 5th. Presentations will be delivered entirely via Zoom from one of four hosting institutions (University of Kansas, University of Iowa, University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, University of Minnesota, University of Chicago), but local hub sites ("watch parties") are encouraged.
Conference sessions relate to the teaching of languages and cultures through the integration of technology, with a focus on praxis rather than on research. The goal is to provide practical information about emerging technologies and approaches that can be easily implemented in the language classroom.
We invite instructors, graduate students, and academic staff to attend! There will be two session types:
-
15-minute presentations to share a favorite online activity or tech tip
-
30-minute exploration of a tool, tip, or strategy, with examples and student feedback
ZOOM LINKS WILL BE PROVIDED TO CONFERENCE REGISTRANTS BY EMAIL ON FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 10.
Registration includes 1 year of membership.
Inquiries about the conference can be sent to mwallt.org@gmail.com.
