Membership starts from January 1 of the year of registration.
Most people join at the conference as the conference registration covers 1 year of membership.
If you are a NEW MEMBER, to avoid a small "pro-rated" fee to finish out the year and then a renewal on Jan 1, please wait until Jan 1 to join or join with your conference registration.

You'll have access to a website with good information and videos presented at the conferences.
You can attend once-a-year regional conferences.
You'll have a chance to be active in a professional organization you're interested in.
You'll have the support of many people who are doing what you do!
Come to conferences! Share what you know. There will be many other people there who will be interested in what you're doing.
