MWALLT Conference 2025 Proposals can be submitted online. The Midwest Association for Language Learning Technology (MWALLT) is seeking proposals for its 2025 fully online conference to be held on Saturday, March 22. Presentations will be delivered from your remote location and shared with conference participants via three zoom streams, managed by The Ohio State University, University of Minnesota, and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The conference theme is "Strengthening Pathways." We seek proposals relating to K-16 pathways, internships and study abroad, life-long learning, as well as other pathways relating to the teaching of languages and cultures through the integration of technology. While proposals should exhibit an understanding of current trends in language pedagogy, the focus should be on praxis rather than on research. The goal is to provide practical information about emerging technologies and approaches that can be easily implemented in the language classroom. This conference will be of particular interest to all current and prospective K-12 and post-secondary language instructors, to individuals affiliated with media centers or language labs, program administrators, and to individuals interested in any facet of language learning technology. We invite instructors, graduate students, and academic staff to participate in one of two session types:
To encourage participation by K-12 educators and graduate students, registration fees will be waived for accepted presenters. Proposals can be submitted online. The deadline for submission of proposals is Friday, January 17th. Inquiries about the conference can be sent to mwallt.org@gmail.com or Mingyu Sun <mingyu@uwm.edu> |
