MWALLT 2023 Hybrid Conference

Saturday, February 11, 2023

Call for Proposals - now accepting submissions!

The Midwest Association for Language Learning Technology (MWALLT) is seeking proposals for its 2023 hybrid conference to be held on Saturday, February 11th.  Presentations will be delivered via Zoom or at one of five hosting institutions (University of Kansas, University of Iowa, University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, University of Minnesota, University of Chicago).

Proposals are sought for sessions relating to the teaching of languages and cultures through the integration of technology. While proposals should exhibit an understanding of current trends in language pedagogy, the focus should be on praxis rather than on research. The goal is to provide practical information about emerging technologies and approaches that can be easily implemented in the language classroom.

We invite instructors, graduate students, and academic staff to participate in one of two session types:

  •      15-minute presentation to share your favorite online activity or tech tip
  •      30-minute exploration of a tool, tip, or strategy, with examples and student feedback

The deadline for submission of proposals is Thursday, December 1st.
